Common questions answered
What if I buy the wrong thing?
Talk to one of our specialists first - by phone, video, or in person at one of our stores. They'll help you work out exactly what your parent needs before you commit to anything. They can also arrange a rental so you can try before you buy.
How do I pay for this?
There may be more options than you think - ACC pathways, Lottery Health Grants, and payment plans are all worth exploring. We'll walk you through what might apply to your parent's situation.
What if Mum or Dad won't use it?
This is a common concern from loved ones. Our friendly team can help guide this conversation with elderly parents - framing mobility aids as tools for independence, not signs of decline. We're happy to help.
We’re here for anything life throws at you

Recovering from a fall or surgery
The right support at the right time makes all the difference to recovery. We can help you find equipment that keeps Mum or Dad safe and moving while she heals - from walkers and rollators and wheelchairs, to bathroom aids and grab rails.

Managing arthritis or reduced mobility at home
Small aids can make a big difference to daily life - from shower stools and raised toilet seats to easy-grip kitchen tools.

Getting out and about again
A mobility scooter can give your parent back the freedom to get outside, run errands, and stay connected to the world around them.

Rental Products
Try before you buy
Try a mobility scooter, walker, or other aid in real life - at home, in the garden, on the street she walks every day. If it's the right fit, converting to a purchase is simple. If it isn't, you've lost nothing.

What other families say
“Good advice on which mobility scooter would suit my elderly father. Transported to our house and a clear demonstration given on how to use it safely. Very happy.”
Jamie
“Today I came in with my mum who has osteoporosis. We were wanting to buy a lightweight manoeuvrable walker with a seat. The sales professional was patient and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and took time to reassure my mum. We are very happy with the walker and impressed with the service.”
Kiwi Chick
“Have had to make some changes recently for my elderly parents in their home and have experienced great service. Great selection of hand rails and the ramp I purchased is working well.”

Frequently asked questions
We've answered the most common ones below. If yours isn't here, just give us a call and we'll sort you out.
Not at all. Many family members get in touch first to understand the options before involving their parent. We can then speak with everyone together, or separately - whatever works best for your situation.
Renting is ideal when you're not yet sure whether a product is the right fit, or when the need may be short-term - for example, post-surgery recovery. Buying makes more sense for ongoing, long-term needs. Our friendly team can help you think through which suits your situation.
The right scooter depends on where they'll use it most, her physical needs, storage at home, and budget. That's exactly what our free consultation is designed to help with. We'll ask the right questions and work it out together.
We have a 14-day return policy on eligible products, and rental is always available for higher-value items like scooters and power chairs. We'd rather you get it right than feel stuck with something that doesn't work.
Yes, potentially. ACC may contribute toward certain mobility equipment following an injury, and Lottery Health Grants are available to eligible individuals. Get in touch and we can help you understand which funding options could be suitable for your situation.
We have stores in Hamilton, Papamoa, Hastings, and Lower Hutt, and a van-based service in Auckland. Phone and video consultations are available nationwide.
