Start Here: Two Main Ways to Get Funding
1. If You’ve Had an Accident
ACC can help pay for your mobility equipment.

2. If You Have Ongoing Health Needs
The Ministry of Disabled People (Whaikaha) might help pay for your equipment if:
- You have difficulty moving around
- Your condition has lasted more than 6 months
- You’re not getting ACC funding.
To get started with Whaikaha funding:

- Everywhere else in New Zealand: Call Enable New Zealand at 0800 171 995
