Financing And Funding For Your Mobility Scooter
Purchasing a mobility scooter is a large financial commitment. We understand that not every family will be able to pay the full amount up front. Because of this, we offer a range of financing and funding options.
Community Grants
You may be eligible to apply for grant funding. Lottery Individuals with Disabilities provides grants to people with mobility and communication related disabilities. They fund the purchase of vehicles, vehicle modifications, scooters and other mobility equipment that will provide outdoor mobility.
To learn more about other funding and grant options visit the Life Unlimited Charitable Trust website.
Layby
If the cost of your purchase is more than you can manage on the day, talk to a Mobility Centre staff member about our easy layby terms so you can spread the cost of your purchase over six weeks.
Terms & conditions apply
Layby period is for a maximum of 6 weeks, and must be for goods valued at more than $60.
A deposit of 20% of the total value or $20 is required, whichever is the greater. Discounted goods cannot be placed on layby.
Cancellations will incur a $20 administration fee, with the balance of payment/s returned within 5 working days from cancellation. No cancellations are allowed on orders of non-standard store stock ordered in specifically for a customer.
If you have two or more items on the same layby, the layby balance must be paid in full before any of the goods can be collected. If you wish to take only one of the items, the layby must be cancelled first, incurring cancellation fees. You may then purchase any item you wish. However, you cannot re-layby any items from a cancelled layby.
