A walking frame unlike anything you’ve seen before has arrived in store.
William Hughes, general manager of Life Unlimited Store, says “we’re excited to be able to offer our customers the innovative Nip* Glide. We think it’s a product that will enhance lifestyles.”
The Nip* Glide is the brainchild of Wellington company BC2 Design. Company founder Nina Bracen said they were originally inspired by a group of seniors who were out for dinner one evening. One member was sitting on a walking frame, but it didn’t look comfortable, and it was bulky and hard to navigate.
BC2’s solution is the Nip* Glide. “We wanted to design a stylish walking frame that transforms into a fully supportive seat,” says Nina.
The result is a sleek, well-designed but functional walking frame that performs as well as it looks. “We have met with many seniors who need these products, but have a stigma regarding being disabled that drives them away from using them,” says Nina.
The hope is by designing a fully functioning, safe and easy-to-use walking frame that also looks great, many more people who might otherwise be put off by cumbersome walking frames will choose the Nip* Glide and enjoy the benefits of better mobility.
The Nip*Glide is available in store now. Why not drop by and put it to the test.
